Liverpool are set to offload controversial striker Mario Balotelli in next month's transfer window after failing to impress since arriving the club in the summer.

The Italian forward has struggled to impress manager Brendan Rodgers and is yet to score a single premier goal since arriving at Anfield in a £16million move from AC Milan.

Napoli have recently shown interest in taking the controversial striker back to Italy and reports now claim Liverpool are ready to listen to offers in the new year after loosing patience with him.

Meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers keen on replacing him with another big name striker and is understood to be eying players including Gonzalo Higuain and Karim Benzema.
