Ugandan Maid Pleads Guilty To Child Abuse, Might Face 15 Years In Prison

The 22-year-old Ugandan maid who was filmed wickedly beating a toddler few weeks ago appeared in court today December 8, where she pleaded guilty.

Jolly Tumuhirwe, who appeared in court with her mum, asked her parents, the toddler's parents and all of Uganda to please forgive her.

According to BBC, the toddler's father broke down in court when she pleaded for forgiveness.

Jolly could face up to 15 years in prison for the crime or a fine of about $400 (£260) or both.

Meanwhile, her case has been adjourned to Wednesday December 10th when the judge is expected to sentence her.

After the session this morning, Jolly was taken away in handcuffs by prison officers.
